What is different about the sector

Not-for-profit teams tend to have more work than people, a lot of it written: funding applications, reports to funders, case notes, policies, board papers, communications. That is exactly the kind of work AI helps with, which is why the sector has more to gain than most and less time to figure it out.

There is also more to get wrong. Client and participant information, duty of care, and the trust of funders and communities all mean the data-handling questions matter. The workshop covers what the tools retain, what the paid plans change and what sensible rules look like for an organisation your size.

How the day runs

You send a handful of everyday documents: a funding submission, a program report, a policy, a newsletter. Tim builds the demonstrations around them and works live in ChatGPT and Claude, so your team sees AI on their own material rather than someone else's.

Frontline staff, program managers and the leadership team can be in the same room. A half day covers the foundations; a full day gets properly into your documents and the advanced features.

Charity pricing

Charity staff get 20% off a single public course, or 50% off two or more. For in-house workshops, mention that you're a registered charity when you request a quote.

Questions people ask

We're a small team with a small budget. Is this realistic?

Yes. The fee doesn't depend on numbers, and a half day is an option in and around Melbourne. For one or two people, a public course date with the charity discount is often the better value.

Can our board attend as well?

Yes. Some organisations run a shorter session for the board on the same day. See AI briefing for boards.

We handle sensitive client information. Does the workshop cover that?

Yes. It is one of the main sections of the day: what the tools retain, which plans keep your data out of training, and what rules to set for staff.

Can you run it for several services across the state?

Yes, as a livestream on Zoom or your own platform, or as a short series of in-person days.
