What is different about firms

Professional services teams have the sharpest version of the AI problem. The work is document-heavy and AI is good at documents, so the upside is real. But client confidentiality, privilege, professional obligations and the cost of a confident wrong answer mean the downside is real too. Most firms have landed somewhere unsatisfying: a policy that says be careful, and staff using the tools quietly anyway.

The workshop deals with both sides. What the tools do well with letters, advices, reports, contracts and spreadsheets, demonstrated on documents like yours. And where the data goes, what is retained, what the paid business plans change, and how to set sensible rules the firm can actually follow.

How the day runs

Before the day, you send a handful of de-identified documents of the kind your people produce. Tim builds the demonstrations around them. On the day he works live in ChatGPT and Claude, and the methods carry straight across to Microsoft Copilot for firms on Microsoft 365.

Partners, senior staff and support teams can sit in the same room; the day is pitched so that each group gets something. A full day gets further into the firm's own documents and the advanced features; a half day covers the foundations.

More about Tim

Questions people ask

We can't put client material into AI tools. How does the workshop handle that?

The demonstrations use de-identified or sample documents you choose. The data-handling section of the day covers what the tools retain, the difference between consumer and business plans, and what a workable firm policy looks like.

Do partners need to attend?

It helps. The firms that get the most out of it have partners in the room, because the questions about what is acceptable get answered on the day rather than deferred.

Can it count towards CPD?

Many firms record it as professional development. Tim can provide a program outline and attendance list for your records.

We're on Copilot. Is it still relevant?

Yes. Copilot runs on the same underlying models. The demonstrations aren't in Copilot, but the methods and the judgement carry over.
