Real problems, one department at a time
For larger organisations in Melbourne, I sit down with one person, or two or three from the same department, for three hours. Together we work through their actual work with AI. They bring their laptops, their documents and the problems they're trying to solve. We solve those problems on the day, and they learn how to solve the next ones themselves.
How a session runs
We meet in a room at your office. Everyone has their laptop open and access to their own documents. They bring the problems. That might be a tender submission, a piece of research, stock movements they're trying to make sense of, or a process that takes too long. We work through them live, one at a time.
Why it works
Because I'm sitting beside them, I can see exactly what they're doing and where it goes wrong. They're the experts in their own work, and I know the tools. Between us, we build up the context the AI needs until it's doing useful work on a real problem. It's problem solving and learning at the same time.
How organisations use it
This is built for larger organisations that want to work through their departments one at a time, covering several of them, if not most. Each session gives one part of the business my full attention on its own problems. People leave with a real problem solved and the skills to solve the next one.
The practical bits
- Melbourne only, face to face at your office.
- Three hours per session.
- One person, or up to three from the same department.
- Booked as a program across departments.
FAQ
One-on-one sessions
How is this different from a team workshop?
A workshop shows a whole team what the tools can do, using documents like theirs. A one-on-one session works on one person's live problems, on their own laptop, until they're solved.
Can you do this outside Melbourne?
No. It only works face to face, so it's Melbourne only.
Can we book a single session?
It's designed as a program, working through your departments one at a time, rather than as a one-off.
What should people bring?
Their laptop, access to their own documents and systems, and a problem they want solved.
Looking for something else?
Can you run a workshop for the whole team?
Yes. See Team learning.
Can you speak at our conference or event?
Yes. See Guest speaker.
Real problems, solved in the room
What participants thought
No hype, just useful examples of where AI can help and where you still need to use your own judgement. Really appreciated that.
Really well organised, from the booking through to the notes afterwards. There was a lot to take in, so having something to refer back to has been useful.
Our team arrived with very different levels of experience, but we all got something out of the day. I particularly liked seeing real documents used in the demonstrations. It made it much easier to picture how we could use AI in our own work.
