Why arts organisations

Arts organisations run on words: grant applications, season brochures, program notes, donor communications, media releases, board papers, funding acquittals. Small teams produce a lot of them. AI is good at exactly this kind of work, and most arts teams have barely started using it.

Tim has worked with cultural organisations and is a long-time audience member himself, so the demonstrations are built on the real documents of an arts organisation rather than generic business examples. Nothing in the day asks the art to change; it is about the work around it.

What the day covers

Grant writing and acquittals, with the tools used to draft, tighten and check against guidelines. Marketing and audience communications. Program notes and education material. Research for programming and partnerships. Board papers and reporting. And the data-handling questions: what the tools retain, and how to handle donor and patron information.

It runs as a half day or full day, live in ChatGPT and Claude, with the methods carrying across to Microsoft Copilot.

More about Tim

Questions people ask

Our team is mostly part-time and spread across roles. Does that work?

Yes. Mixed rooms are normal, and the day is pitched so marketing, development, programming and admin staff each get something. A half day suits smaller teams in and around Melbourne.

Can it cover grant writing specifically?

Yes. Send a past application and the funder's guidelines, and Tim uses them in the demonstrations.

Is there a discount for not-for-profit arts organisations?

Charity staff get the public course discount (20% off one course, 50% off two or more). For an in-house workshop, mention that you're a registered charity when you request a quote.
