This course is for professionals who are already using ChatGPT and want to work with it more effectively, consistently and confidently. It focuses on the parts of ChatGPT that actually shape results — including models, settings, iteration, validation, deep research, grounded outputs and repeatable workflows using Projects.
The day is fast-paced, non-technical and built around live demonstrations. It shows what AI can already do in practice, where caution is needed, and how to use ChatGPT more intelligently for research, drafting, analysis and planning in real workplace contexts.
While delivery is in the ChatGPT interface, the methods and thinking taught throughout the day transfer directly to Claude, Google Gemini, Microsoft Copilot and other tools. The course also introduces emerging directions such as agents and vibe coding, giving participants a clearer view of what is useful now and what is coming next.
Program topics
Getting oriented: interface, models and settings A quick walkthrough of the parts of ChatGPT that actually affect your work — models, settings, key features.
The capability gap What most people think AI can do versus what it can already do today. This is usually where expectations shift.
Trusting the output — and knowing when not to Why AI can sound right when it isn't, how over-reliance develops, and practical ways to sense-check, validate and stay accountable.
Iteration: better questions, better outputs Why good outcomes come from context, follow-up and refinement — not single prompts. Includes comparing options, testing approaches, and using web search to validate and strengthen your work.
Deep research reports Using ChatGPT's Deep Research feature to produce thorough, sourced reports — when to use it, how to brief it well, and how to evaluate what comes back.
Grounding outputs in your material and voice Using uploads, documents, style guides and reference material so outputs are based on your actual work and sound like your organisation.
Projects: persistent context and repeatable workflows How Projects hold context, files and instructions across sessions — and how to use them for recurring business tasks like research, drafting, analysis and planning.
What's next: agents and vibe coding A brief introduction to where things are heading — autonomous agents that can take actions on your behalf, and vibe coding as a way to build tools and workflows without traditional development skills.
