ChatGPT: Practical Updates is a monthly 60-minute webinar series providing a practical briefing on using ChatGPT more effectively in professional work.
ChatGPT is changing quickly, and it is not always obvious which updates matter in day-to-day use. This series is designed to keep participants current without chasing every release. Each month, Tim runs a tightly curated session focused on one theme:
What’s new
Recent releases and changes that materially affect how ChatGPT is used at work.
or
What’s underused
High-leverage features and workflows that have been available for some time, but remain widely underutilised.
The aim is straightforward: participants leave each session with practical tactics they can apply immediately in their own role and workflows.
Prerequisites and access requirements
There are no formal prerequisites. However, demonstrations are delivered using paid versions of ChatGPT. Participants can join without a paid plan, but will get the most value if they have access to a paid ChatGPT licence (any paid tier) so they can replicate what is shown in practice.
Program topics
24 March — Web-Connected ChatGPT: Rapid Business Intelligence
Use ChatGPT with web browsing to do fast, defensible business research. Covers position validation, lightweight peer benchmarking, and turning messy public information into a one-page decision brief, including simple claim-checking and source capture.
21 April — ChatGPT for Spreadsheets: Clean, Fix, Reshape
A practical walkthrough of using ChatGPT to work directly with spreadsheets: upload one or more files, run a structured cleanup pass (headings, duplicates, inconsistencies, missing fields), and reshape the data into a clearer, analysis-ready format. The session finishes by exporting an improved spreadsheet — either a cleaned version of the original, or a new output created from the refinement process.
19 May — Sora for Visual Remixing and Short-Form Video
Sora (available in paid ChatGPT plans) enables rapid iteration on visuals without starting from scratch. This session covers practical “remix” workflows: editing and improving existing images (tweaks, variations, clean-ups), combining multiple images into a new composite, and turning a still image into short-form video for quick prototyping and content drafts. Where voice is used, it also demonstrates generating spoken audio with different languages and accents to match the intended audience.
